Default 1996 honda accord lock up issue

I have made adjustments to the pressure plate and feel it’s good I have new solenoids and new dw-1. The only problem I am having is usually my lock up won’t kick in unless I warm it up for awhile after driving then pull over shut the car off and start back up and lock up seems so work just fine almost every time

Is your D4 light flashing while driving? I'd scan for codes to be sure. The OBD2 connector in your car is behind the ashtray. Post any code(s) you get on here.

From my very basic understanding of the transmission. The lockup solenoid is controlled by the PCM and the solenoid opens when power is sent to it. The hydraulic fliuid is pushed to the lockup valve inside the transmission that diverts to the lockup mechanism. If you can back-probe the feeds to the lockup solenoids or use a pierce connector to tap into the wires, you can rig some test lights to see if the solenoid is getting power when the lockup mechanism should operate.

Another thought is there is a cable from the throttle body to the transmission that may require adjustment. It is similiar to removing the slack from the throttle cable coming from the gas pedal. Maybe this is preventing the transmission from going into lockup? Not sure if an out of adjustment cable could cause this, but I remember the adjustment could cause some mis-timed shifts.
