1999 Honda Accord 3.0L V-6 acting up but doesn't die!!!!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't get it to do anything backprobing the pink wire and hooking it to positive battery post. I took it loose from the car and when I turn the ignition on and off the plunger goes in and out on the egr.

Does this mean now I need to take the plenum back off and reclean the passages?

If you have cleaned the egr holes with card cleaner and all passage holes then yes. The code you have if for a blockage

Do you have a p0401 code also? Try unplugging the egr valve and running the car?

I haven't cleaned the egr valve itself But with the plunger moving in and out when I turn the ignition off and on don't that indicates the egr is working or could it be stopped up internally itself?

I don't have a p0401 with the egr unplugged. What's up with that?

So with the egr unplugged you coded cleared or you still have the 91 code?

It's not showing any codes now with the egr unplugged.

Ok I would do more tests on a better diag tool but looks like you are having a intermittent issue with the egr. What brand position sensor did you put in.
