Many places rent these pressure testers...you pay up front but get your money back when you return it....there are also UV dye kits you can purchase...add the dye to the cooling system......run the car for some peroid of time, then with the UV light look for the "glow in the dark" stuff..

I'll try finding the leak this weekend and rent out one of those tools. I have been noticing leaks right at the top of the radiator where the plastic meets the metal.

Might be the top part giving out....if you don't want to tie up the money...fill the rad, bleed the system, crank the car.....let it run for a bit of time, this time of year I'll say 20+ minutes - of course keep an eye on the temp gauge.

If you begin to see coolant leaking from that area....well you can rent the tester but pretty much you need a new rad.....so again if you are seeing coolant leaking from that area the test is only going to confirm it is the rad.......new rad, upper and lower hose and new clamps are in your future......and since you are there, a new t-stat (dealer ?) and gasket should also be done...of course new coolant will be needed.

Bottom line, if you can see coolant leaking there......don't even waste time with the tester. Replace the rad and see what you have from there.

EDIT: If this is an auto trans car, can't/don't remember, get at least one quart of Honda trans fluid and ~3ft of "TRANS COOLER" hose and replace the connections from the trans to the rad when doing this....note the trans cooler hose....fuel line hose WILL NOT work.

I had the same issue of the A/C and heater control panel not working. The jumper wire fix worked great. I now have cool air, and I need it since I live in Florida.

Thanks for posting all the helpful information.
