Default 2000 4dr AT cruise control issue

Cruise light comes on instrument cluster but no cruise control when 'set' is activated on steering column. Any suggestions would most appreciated.

Any recent work done to the car?

Check the fuses?

Check the brake light switch?

Check the "clock spring"?

Also on this gen (I think), check the cable at the throttle body to be sure it is attached.

Thanks for your help. Yup, checked cable to throttle body & it is off. No clue on how to reattach.

Been doing a bit of searching and it likely that the clip for the cruise cable is broken on the throttle body.

Yes, sorry for the delay but as my last "guess/suggestion" hinted towards was the "spool" on the TB. Might check someplace like car-parts dot com for a used TB -Throttle Body.
