Question 2000 Accord auto trans rebuild

Hey i've got a 2000 accord auto trans. that needs new output drive shaft bearings, i'm pretty mechanical but never done a rebuild on a trans. before, do you know if these thrust bearings are something i can replace without having to tear apart the entire transmission. fyi the trans. is removed already. thanks for your help. also does anyone know the compatability between this trans. and my '98 civic?
Thanks

you have to take the case apart, and pull the shafts then pull the bearings.

what he said ^

You have to take the case apart, then remove the shafts.

You will see the bearings that are failing, they will look like whipped up chunky peanut butter.

Also check your pressure friction plates for signs of failure. The glue honda used was not that great. I refurbished the case and replaced those clutch packs when I did mine.
