Default 2000 Accord Starts but doesn't stay running unless hitting the gas pedal

When I try to start it, I hear the motor trying to start but extremely struggling, Then, I give it some gas and it would turn on and then die. As long as I kept giving it gas it would stay on. When I let it go down to 1000 the needle immediately drops to 0.

OB says P1457. So, I replaced a Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid Purge Valve and a Vapor Canister. It didn't fix the problem.
The next best thing is to perform a smoke test with a mechanic but before that, Has anyone had any experience that resembles this situation with P1457 code? or it has nothing to do with it.

What I did so far:

• Spark plugs new ones and checked they are working.
• Distributor was replaced in August.
• Cat Converter was replaced in October.
• Fuel pump relay checked.
• Fuel Pump hums when you turn the key and seems working.
• Vapor Canister Vent Solenoid Purge Valve and Vapor Canister were replaced.
• MAP sensor, throttle body, and Idle air control valve cleaned.
• Directly sprayed starting fluid to the throttle and didn't start.
• All the tubes are connected and looked OK.

Did the P1457 show up before or after your engine was stalling out at idle?

That something I don’t know. After I put those parts, it didn’t get erased.

Engine stalling at idle and running at high rpms would mean the fuel, spark, and timing are ok. It could be a stuck open EGR valve or possibly a vacuum leak. I think the 2000 accord EGR is controlled by vacuum, so you can try to unplug the vacuum hose to the EGR valve and plug the vacuum hose. See if the car starts and runs. You can pull the EGR valve and see if carbon is preventing the valve from closing?

If the EGR valve has no vacuum hose, then it is controlled electronically, so you can unplug the electrical connector.

I didn't see the vacuum hose, so I unplug the electrical connector. It didn't change.

I also unplug the electrical connector for the Idle control valve. It didn't change, either.

What are the wire colors to the map sensor and the idle control valve?

What are the actual wire colors on your car?

On the 90-97 accords, the plug for the map were identical to either the tps or the IAC, so you could accidentally switch them. I think the same is true for the 98-02s.
