Default 2001 Honda Accord 2.3L launches forward when accelerates quickly from stop

Hi all,

I have a 2001 Honda Accord 2.3L 4-Cylinder F23A4 engine. Great car, but I am experiencing the below.

When accelerating quickly from a stop, the car would either stuck in neutral for 1 sec before it can accelerate OR it would launch forward a bit if I push hard on the gas pedal. If I slowly accelerate and let go of the gas pedal and slowly accelerate again, it picks up very smoothly and nicely. My car has very nice idle, just below the 1000 rpm steady. I have put in new spark plugs, cleaned the throttle body, new spark plug wires, new engine air filter, no exhaust leak, etc. It has 199K miles on it.

Any tips on what's wrong? Please see the below diagram. I am thinking the mesh (item #10 in the diagram below with red pointer) needs to be replaced, since it could be dirty AND the two solenoids (shift solenoids?) items #11 and #12 need to be replaced?

Thank you very much for any tip.

When did you last change the transmission fluid?

I changed it 6 months ago (around 10 miles ago) with Honda OEM transmission fluid. Level is full and is still pink. Before that it was changed by a mechanic shop, and I am 100% sure they didn't use Honda genuine fluid, thus my changing it again 6 months ago. I only did one iteration of the fluid change, though. And it was about 3 quarts total. Maybe I should do a couple more iterations to really flush out the old stuff?

Thank you!

I can't tell from your post if it goes into neutral then slams into gear or your Accord doesn't move till you give it some throttle like at a stop on a hill. if it is like a stop on a hill it may be a brake issue which is what my accord used to overnight. I think the rotors would quickly rust overnight.

Ok, after watching many videos and thanks you YouTube's algorithm of suggesting videos, my problem is exactly what is diagnosed in the below video. Need to replace the two shift solenoids!
