Default 2001 Honda Accord Cruise Quit

Hello I have a 2001 Honda Accord, After parking one nite my tail &, brake lites would not go off
after replacing the switch & bulbs everything was fixed, or so I thought now my Cruise doesn't work. The indicator lite on main cruise button comes on, however not the one on dash and cruise will not work. All fuses have been checked with test lite all are good. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Was the CC working before you did this work?

Are the brake lights constantly on? There is an adjustment on the brake pedal switch, where you want a slight gap between the pin on the switch and the plastic stopper on the brake pedal. I'd set the gap where you can slide a credit card between the push pin and brake pedal. If the switch is pushed in, it disables the cruise control system just like when you hit the brakes to turn off CC.

Hi Tammy,
You may want to check the battery. My 92 Accord experienced the same: The green light on the dash board was on, but the car couldn't hold up the speed. After I replaced the battery (it's due), the CC worked.

if cruise was working properly before you replaced the brake switch, i would do what PAHonda suggested,, double chk the adjustment on the brake switch , if misaligned it would keep the light on dash from coming on, thus cruise not engaging
