2003 Honda Civic LX(A/T) Died While Driving
Thanks so much guys. We removed the head, by putting Cylinder #1 at TDC, now piston at no.1/4 is at climax and 2 and 4 are at the bottom.
We are going to try as PM have suggested, should we expect any other damage except valves or hopefully that be it?

OK I was ASSUMING that the camshaft was installed into the head. If that were the case, I don't think there's any single position where ALL valves are closed at the same time.
You don't have to remove the camshaft to get the head bolts on an F23; I did that with a 1998 F23A1. Not sure about Civic (D-series) but that's acedemic because faran says the cam was not installed at the time.

Honestly, that's how we did on F22B1, completely removed cam so tried to follow the same procedure

So took it to machine shop today, he said they all seem fine, but test it by filling Intake and exhaust side with water separately.
Almost, 11 of them are leaking water and we are planning to replace all of em, just to be on the safe side.
Do you guys have any other better suggestions or idea to cut cost while fixing the problem too?
Thanks so much, that's another route. What if we buy valve compressing tool, is it DIY thing or no?
