Default 2004 accord sputtering

I recently started getting a sputter mostly at low speed. It comes and goes. I just replaced spark plugs with no luck.

It sounds like a EGR problem. Have you ever done a EGR cleaning on your vehicle? Check also for spark plugs wires arc'ing

Never did an erg cleaning. Car has 180000 on it, is it hard to do a cleaning? Also has coils for each plug? Could it be a bad coil

You may want to get the codes checked anyway. Most parts stores do this as a free service.

As for the sputter, does it happen when accelerating, decelerating, or coasting? Any work done on the car not long before the problem started happening?

I put in new plugs , because I had been getting skip. Happens mostly when I am just about moving along 35 mpg. But not all the time. I looked at engine and looks pretty easy to get to erg ports. Will try cleaning on weekend. I wonder if one of the coils is bad. Each plug has its own

Definitely check for codes. You may have a temporary code, where you have some misfires, but not enough to trigger a check engine light. It is worth a shot.

If it is an automatic... Start car, press and hold the brake, put in drive and then slowly press the gas pedal thus slowly raising the rpm's and try and find a sweet spot between idle speed and 3,000 rpm where the engine stumbles. If you find it hold the rpm's at that speed for a while and see if you can force an engine code.
