Long time lurker, and first time posting...
I have a beloved 2005 Accord Coupe, manual transmission... This winter, I brought my Accord to the mechanic because the heat was out on the driver's side only - the passenger side worked fine. The mechanic recommended a quick fix that would require a return visit in the Spring to fix the AC that would be rendered useless by the 'quick fix.' I followed their recommendation and enjoyed the heat during the winter. So now - I made an appointment to fix the AC, and low and behold, they can't get a part - the "Water Heater Valve Control CABLE" anywhere - new or used. I'm devastated - I would never have broken the AC intentionally to fix the heater!
I'm looking for the CABLE only. I've tried everything from Honda Dealers, local junk yards, Rock Auto, Ebay, and more...
Any guidance from seasoned part hunters would be appreciated! To make matters even more bleak, I'm in Maine where options are limited. The mechanic has written it off as not a findable part.
