Default 2006 Accord Reverse Lights Problem

Hey all,

I am having some issues with my 2006 Accord's reverse lights. I have checked all of the fuses and the bulbs; they all seem to be functioning properly. One of my friends said that it is most likely this (#5 in the diagram)

Honda OEM Parts - MT CLUTCH CASE (L4) for 2006 HONDA ACCORD for 2DR EX Manual

Can anyone else give me the same validation, and tell me how to repair it?

Thanks,

Are the bulbs the stock type bulbs?

If the bulbs are not burnt out, it may be corrosion on the switch connector terminals or a faulty switch.

If you have a voltmeter, you can check for 12 volt power at the bulb connectors, with the ignition to ON and transmission in reverse. If there is 12 volt power at the bulb connectors, then it is not the switch.

To check the switch, you can jack up the car, safely support the car with jack stands and check for corrosion on the switch connector terminals and the switch. If switch connector seems okay, then test the switch for continuity. See link:
