Default 2009 Accord Couple LX - Windshield Wipers Stopped Working

Need some help. My wipers just died while I was driving...in the rain of course. While I was in 95, so I had to pull over till it calmed down. Anyway, I can hear it trying to work, but it's not moving. They don't seem to be locked, as I can move them with my hand. Checked the fuse inside, and it's fine. Even swapped, but nothing. If I turn ththe wipers on, I can hear it. The fluid works. Thoughts?

Which fuse number did you check?

Check or re-check driver's under-dash Fuse No. 3 (15A), Fuse No. 4 (7.5A), and Fuse No. 5 (7.5A). They are all part of the wiper circuit. The wiper/washer system is part of the multiplex integrated control system. The Driver’s MICU, Passenger’s MICU, and the Wiper/Washer Switch are the main operation controls of the wiper/washer system.

If the under-dash fuses are okay, then check the under-hood multi-fuse no 3. It is a combined fuse.

I checked under the dash fuse 4. Didn't check 3 cause fluids work. Didn't know 5 was part of the system. I'm not sure how to take the fuse out under the hood.

For the under-hood multi-fuse, you can partially inspect through the clear plastic without removing it. However, removing it gives better inspection. The one bolt needs to be remove first before pulling it out.

Dammit. Lol it was a pretty warm day too. If it is the fuse under the hood, how is that swapped out? Is that a regular fuse?

It is a special fuse, usually a dealer part. See my previous posts regarding removal.

Can I order this fuse if this is the cause of the problem?

You can order the fuse; but, probably less expensive through a local dealer due to shipping costs if you order via internet Honda dealer.

Take a look at it first, to see if it is blown before ordering.

If the fuse is found to be blown, you may want to check the wiper motor wiring, etc.
