Default 2016 Accord -Headlight distance

I recently bought a 2016 Honda Accord and am really having an issue with nigh time driving with the distance the lights shine down the road. I am coming from an 06 Accord and find the newer Accord does now light up enough of the road in front of the car. One of the DTRL elements is out but i don't think that would make a big difference. Any ideas?

I didn't get any feedback, did I post in the wrong area or am I the only one with this concern?

Your original post probably got missed early on, then it went off the first page without being answered.

Is the plastic clear on your headlight housing?

Honda's writeup on the headlight adjustment is terrible. Here is what I make of it.

To check headlight alignment park approximately 25 ft from a wall or garage door on a level surface. Measure the height from the ground to the center of your low beam. Turn on the headlights. Measure the height from the ground to the top of the light illuminating the wall/garage door. The two measured values should be equal. If not adjust the headlight height with a phillips head screwdriver. (there are some youtube videos you can watch on how to adjust on your specific accord).

Thanks for the clarification.
The housing is clear, in fact the right headlight was just replaced because the DTRL failed.
Just to clarify your instruction, the first measurement from the ground to the center of your low beam is done at the car?
Is it just me or are there issues with the amount of illumination on this generation of Accord? My 06 was much better.

The measurement is done at the car.

I don't own a 2016, so I'm not sure about the illumination with the 2016 accord. That is why I was asking if the headlights are out of adjustment.
