Default 8th Gen Amp Install

I got my third Accord, a 2009 Coupe LX-S, about a year ago in June and it's great! I was looking yesterday for a preexisting hole in the firewall to run a power cable to the trunk for a sub/amp and couldn't find one that looked like an easy target for installation. Has anybody done an amp install through factory drilled holes on this generation and can tell me where I should run the cable? If not, any suggestions for where to drill a hole myself? It's a 500W RMS @ 2 Ohm amp, so I need a hole for 8 gauge wire.

Thanks for your help!

The rear is not a firewall, the firewall is the area between the engine bay and interior cabin.

You probably can run the cable under the sill and/or carpet area and then fold down the seat. You may or may not need to drill a hole in the trunk trim panel.

This link shows the steps for folding down the seat and removing the trunk trim panel (if necessary).

Oh I realize the firewall is in the front. I can see how my wording might have been a bit ambiguous regarding that. When I installed XM radio a couple months ago I was able to route the antenna cable easily from the trunk up to my head unit, so that is not my problem. I need to know the best place, or good places to run power cable from the battery to the trunk.

I like the pdf, is there a zip archive or tarball with 8th gen documentation freely available? I have generally had to learn by experimentation with my Accords, but I much prefer well developed documentation like your link if it is available

EDIT: Looks like a bunch of documentation here: http://www.handa-accessories.com/accord08.html

Found a hole in the firewall so posting pictures here for future reference (Higher res in links). Look for the shiny red wire. Grommet is near center of car, closer to driver side. I did this on a 2009 Accord Coupe LX-S.

There was nothing going through the grommet, but I assume higher end models will have something going through it already. Poke the grommet from the cabin side and it will pop out. Drilled a hole through the grommet and 8 gauge wire will fit through it. It may even be big enough for 6 gauge wire. Put the grommet back where it went and it's done!
