Default 90 accord ex tach problem?

I bought this accord a month ago and changed the speed sensor because the spedometer didn't work but the tach is still fliping out of control as soon as I rev past 3 1/2k. is it due to frail wires or the coil or something else? Im clueless

Thanks

remove the distr cap, in the ignitor there is a blue wire make sure it is not loose .....if it is ok. than u have to test the rpm signal on that wire outside of the distributor just plug into the wire ..if signal is ok at wire you might have a bad tach gauge

I turns out that the negative lead from the coil wasn't connected all the way and was touching at random I connected it back and the tach works great and the car runs a little smoother too. Thanks
