ok so heres the thing. i just put in a used tranny in my car. everything seemed fine till about a week ago. first off it started getting stuck in sports mode. which i have to manually shift. ok whatever i got use to it. but a few days ago the sport light started to blink witch i'm pretty sure means i have a code. so i took it in to gave the codes checked and the guy just gave me a dumb looks like i was crazy.[:@] so my question is how can i check the code myself? and am i doing any damage to my car by driving it the way it is? any help would be great.

 

See DIY section for checking OBD1 codes. Same procedure for AT codes, except the S or D4 light will blink the codes rather the Check Engine Light. Post code for help.
