I'm not going to say it starts to make sure we are the same page. I would say it makes the sputter noise like it is running but it doesn't even idle, just automatically dies now. Previous tries would run and hold an idle for a few seconds.
No I don't have wiring diagrams for this, so it would be appreciated if you find it.

Unplug the electrical connector to the coil There should be a blk/yel wire going to the coil. When you have the key in the II position, does that wire have 12V to body ground?

I would reset the ECU by removing the 7.5 amp backup/radio fuse in the engine bay fuse box for a minute to clear any codes. Try to start the car, then recheck for codes. The long blink should be the first part of the code, so a code 43 would be LLLLSSS, and not be reversed.

It will crank fine if the ignition switch is bad. It will do exactly that, sound likes it going to start and run then sputter right out. Just sayin'.

I don't have any other ideas for you, sorry my friend. Good luck though.

Thanks PA,,,,I didn't want to guess, but it seems Honda likes the BLK/YEL going to the dist....same for the 3rd and 5th gens, and all I had was an old Chiltons for the 4th....
