I just swaped motor in a 91 accord I just bought. The CEL is on and the check and got a code 6 for coolant temp sensor. Bought a new one and still get same code. I also noticed that the cooling fan is not turning on until I turn the car off. I had a circulation problem at first, apparently my new thermo was bad. Took it out completely, now car is not running too hot. Any ideas on sensor and fan problem?

 

fixed problem with the fan. had bad switch. still have problem with cel due to temp sensor. checked ohms and its good. tested voltage from plug and it is at 12v. Any ideas why?

 

did you ever find a fix for this having the same issue with my 91 accord lx....gave me code 6 ..so i replaced the sensor under the distributor and still gives me code 6...just wondering if you found a fix for this?thanks
