Hello, I need help with transmission codes.
91 accord 2.2L A/T. Only hits reverse, second, and third gears. Must shift manually. It won't shift up or down on it's own. "S" light blinks steady will driving. I jumpered the 2 pin connector under the glovebox. I get 2 flashes, pause, 5 flashes, pause, 7 flashes, pause, repeat. I assume this means there are 3 different problems or my controller is shot. Can someone please provide some info? Thanks, Joe

Code 2: Lock-up clutch does not engage. Cause: Faulty wiring or solenoid valve B
Code 5: Fails to shift other than 2-4, lockup clutch doesn't engage. Cause: Fautly wiring or A/T gear position switch.
Code 7: Fails to shift between 1-4, 2-4, 2-3. Cause: Faulty wiring or solenoid valve A.
I would look at the wiring to the shift solenoid valves to make sure it is ok. In the DIY section, the online manuals thread has sites that have a pdf of a 91 accord shop manual. I know that the spoon honda site has it. This will help you out a lot. The TCU codes are listed on page 9-28. The beginning pages of chapter 9 will show you the location of the shift solenoids on the tranny.
