Default 91 accord VSS question

So I'm trying to change my VSS today, as it's gone bad. I get the thing bolted on and ready to go and when I go to connect the electrical connectors, much to my dismay the connectors wouldn't fit. After inspection I see that the connector that is attached to the VSS is a male end connector, and the port where the VSS connects to (not sure what it's called) is also a male. Every VSS I can find has a male end connector on it. The guy at the parts store had no answers. Does anyone here have any idea what could be going on here? Is it possible to find a VSS for this car that has a female connector? I'm really dumbfounded and have no idea what to do.

Looking forward to some ideas. Thank you.

Ya that's pretty much how the old one looked, except the connecter on the wires was a female. And every VSS I can find has a male.

Ahh, sorry I didn't catch that. The original sensor is the one on the bottom, the one that has the connector on top. The replacement I bought and the only one I've been able to find is the one on top, the one that doesn't have the connector.

Try looking at one from a 94-97 Accord vs the 90-93 Accord.

EDIT: The two pic's I posted are from those year models. Someone might have swapped the trans out on the car before.

I sure thought this car has the original tranny but that possibility was mentioned to me by someone else as well. Thanks for the help brother.

So now as I search for 94 sensors, all of the results show only the sensor with no wire. Why wouldn't there be a wire included in the picture?

I can when I get home, but the sensor you posted looks exactly like it.

Like this:

http://www.partsgeek.com/ss/?ssq=Speed+sensor&year=1994&make=Honda

And correct me if I'm wrong, there is a set of wires that shoud run from the sensor, right? None of these parts listings show any wires with it.
