I don't know if you are off a tooth. You had problems aligning the cams, so I definitely think you should check.

Ok we got it running smooth now. Thanks for the pictures. I was like a tooth off! I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but when I bled the coolant it was bubbling out of the radiator really hard, so hard I put the cap on and it went SHOOTING out of the bleeder! I closed the bleeder and turned the car off took the cap off and filled it up. The car hasn't heated up yet...however the temp gauge is going nuts. cold to normal, cold to normal...coolant did kind of go EVERYWHERE when it came out of the bleeder like a fountain!

Make sure the heater is set to max when doing the bleeding. Usually I have the car off, set the heater max (mine is manual control is you have auto hvac then turn the car to "on" and set to max heat), open the bleeder, fill rad until coolant comes out. Close bleeder, replace cap, and start car. Once it gets to "normal temp" I will crack the bleeder to just be sure...then call it a day.

 

It seems to be fine, temp wise. It will just randomly drop alllllll the way down, below cold, then come back to normal really fast. And I'm guessing its not normal for it to shoot out of the bleeder?
