94 Accord ABS Light remove or disable?
I hope that I got this into the right section.
I have a 94 Accord. The ABS went at least 10 years ago, my mechanic said that a sensor failed and it wasn't worth the expense to repair. This meant that the ABS light stayed on the entire time which really didn't bother me.
Fast forward to today. Hit some black ice and slid sideways into something solid (ABS wouldn't have helped) which broke a turn signal and the bumper cover. Easily repairable but in the end I'll have to get another safety inspection and I'm concerned that it won't pass with an illuminated ABS light.
So my simple question is this. Is there an easy way to disable the ABS light on the dash?
It doesn't look like there is an easy way to remove the instrument cluster. Or is there?
Thanks.
200,000 miles and many more left in this car, I'd like to keep it on the road.

I'm not aware of any sure way to disable except to remove the cluster and access the light.
Looking at the wiring diagram, the following might work:
1) Pull Fuse 1 (10A) in the underdash fuse box. This will also disable brake system light, backup lights, clock, VSS (no cruise, speedometer). Looks like cure is worse than the disease.
Bottom line I think you'll need to pull the gauge panel.
One final thought, find a used part to replace the fault. Wheel sensors and modulators even can be purchased for <$50 usually.
good luck
