Default Disable abs on 2004 Honda Accord Ex

Hey guys, ever since I got my 04 Accord (which I love the abs light has always been on. The abs doesn't really kick in if its clear weather or light rain. The problem occurs is when it snows, even just a tiny bit. Its really scary, even if the snow isn't sticking to the ground the abs will kick in as soon as I barely even touch the break pedal. Its quite concerning.

Could anyone help me on how to disable the abs system?

Thanks guys, your help is appreciated.

-Jason

The following link shows how to extract the ABS system codes w/ only a jumper wire. Post your codes for help in determining possible fixes.

Meanwhile there should be an ABS fuse box under hood. Look here to pull ABS master fuse. This will disable ABS but leave ABS light on full time.

good luck

I disabled my ABS. I live where we get lots of snow every year and anyone who lives in bad weather climates in the winter knows ABS suck in the snow. U can pull the ABS fuse under the fuse box or u can unplug the harness from your front wheels. I took the whole ABS system off my front wheels. People say its really dangerous having no ABS but I feel its way more dangerous in the winter having them. I've slid through so many Intersections cause of them. And from experience the light will eventually burn out in due time or u can pull the bulb from the cluster

Hey thanks guys for all the help. I tried taking the fuse out and that actually fixed it. Thanks again. I didn't want to fix the abs because it was costing me a lot. But I agree with you jroxz its more dangerous in winter when you have the abs.
