Default 94 A/C replacement...con't!

Last summer, I replaced EVERYTHING on my A/C in my 94 Accord LX. I THOUGHT I had everything accounted for...until... I was recharging the system and another issue arose!

The safety valve is clearly damaged and the new compressor I installed did not come with that manifold (for lack of a better term) that installs on top of the compressor.

I can't seem to find one anywhere on ebay. Does anyone know what that part is called so I can more readily search for the replacement???

Thank you!

Dawn

Item is called relief valve. It releases when pressure is extremely high to protect against explosion. It release at over 400 psi.

You should be able to purchase a replacement relief valve from an AC supply store or auto parts store. Otherwise, you may have to purchase an entire used compressor to get one.

Note, there is an oring seal beneath the valve. Is leak coming through valve or around valve?

good luck

After I almost finish filling the system with the first bottle and it all looks good and the numbers are doing great the relief valve starts squirting. I even did it with a seasoned mechanic showing me how to do it properly and he didnt know for sure what Honda manufacturing calls that part.

You need to go to junk yard, an auto parts or auto AC supply store, or try to call following guys for parts, ackits.com.
