95 honda accord problem starting
Hey guys. My honda accord LX 2.2L MT wouldnt't start for like an hour then it suddenly started. While driving, I came to a light and the car shut off on me. Cranked it a few times and it wouldn't start. It has started since then but the problem persist. A mechanic told me that I need the distibutor changed and what I was wondering is if I can just change the rotor and cap and get away with it. Not trying to be cheap or anything but wouldn't those two parts cause the problem? And the distibutor itself is just what turns the rotor right or am I wrong. but if i'm right then I would only need to change the worn rotor and cap. Am I correct???

The cap and the rotor are the two maintenance items on the distributor. The sensors should give an error code if they are bad.
The ignitor can fail and not cause the check engine light to turn on. You would need to do some troubleshooting before you would replace that.
