It may be too late, but in case you work on injectors again 12V is too high voltage for continuous or extended application to open FI. The voltage is reduced in operation by the FI resistor box to significantly lower voltage. I recently did work on toyota FI's and found 4.5V was about lowest voltage to reliably open FI's.
