96 Accord Starting Problem
Occasionally our 96 Honda Accord won't start. Nothing happens when the key is turned. You can usually rapidly turn the key until the car starts, although sometimes it won't start at all. This does NOT happen after the car has sat overnight or all day it work, it happens after being off short periods of time, such as after a trip to the store. This happens in any kind of weather. It has happened for several months and it seems to be getting worse. We'd like to get it fixed because we are afraid of getting stranded somewhere. Has anyone had this issue with the same conditions/symptoms or does anyone know what it may be?

I'd start with having the battery and alt tested (most places will do this for free). Check/clean/tighten the battery cables (all ends).
Durham...hey you're ~30 miles away Nice day we are having....for the geese anyway.

My pleasure...another fine day we had today.
Hoping that it is something with the voltage getting to the starter and not the starter itsself. So that is why I'm suggesting to start there.
Do you have a volt meter? There are some other tests you can do to narrow things down.
