It could still end up being a leak or a bad unit.....but before I would replace the unit....the bleeding only costs a bit of time and fluid.

Here is the write up by Jim if you don't have the means to do it by the TSB

Thumbs up

HEY GUYS!!!

I fixed it!!! Well I did the physical work, but you guys and your brains did the rest. I bled the ABS reservoir just as your instructions said and sure enough there was a ton of bubbles and air trapped in there. I think it might have a leak and the reservoir was close to empty and sucked in some air. But as of right now the light is off and staying off. Test drive it also. Then cleaned it up real good so I can check again and try to locate the leak if there is one. But anyway I just wanted to thank you guys, my father in law is going to be so happy.

Good to hear....hope it holds.

If not,,,,,there is an o-ring that fails quite often, Search the DIY section for ABS fix....I think the title has a price of like 1.50 something..........hate getting old.

There is a TSB about the body plugs (9 if I remember leaking). You have to remove the modulator to access them, remove, clean, reinstall tightly. This fixed a leak on one modulator I had.

Another leak site is the accumulator/modulator oring seal.

good luck
