Distilled water and deionized water are essentially the same thing. Both methods remove salts from the water.

For distilling water, you boil it, then condense the steam. The salts will not boil. When deionizing water, you pour the water over solids that are designed to remove the salts.

It is sluggish because it is using more gas. That is why when you check your 0 - 60 with A/C on and off they will be different times.

It idles right around 750rpm...nice and smooth. The only work I have had done to the car is the following: clutch replace, clutch master cylinder replace, slave cylinder replace, passenger side Axel replace and that is it.

Poorman...I have no idea what you mean by check/clean the IAC. Could you please enlighten me.

peace out,
daddy

There are two items that may help. Cleaning the IAC and the EGR ports.

Poorman212 suggested to clean the idle air control valve (IAC). This is on back of the upper intake manifold and has two bolts. There is a metal screen that can get clogged up. You want to use throttle body cleaner to clean it.

Copy and paste the link below for a DIY. You can try to clean it without removing the two hoses. Those hoses carry coolant to the IAC to keep it warm. Sometimes those hoses can get clogged up or the passages on the IAC, so you might want to remove those hoses.

I would also clean out the throttle body and both sides of the throttle plate.

The other item you can do is to clean the EGR ports. Google tsb 013 and the first hit will be a pdf with the procedure for a 94-97 on the last two pages. Search for d8N-SE047VY on YouTube for a good video on this.

Here is a thread with a DIY on this forum as well.
