Default 97 accord coupe cuts out

Hi got a 97 honda accord coupe 2.2l non-vtec auto tran. that random cuts out when driving but turns back on right away without me restarting it all things powered cut out clock,lights,dash,radio also sometimes radio will reset to factory settings like battery was disconnected and car clock loses time. just replaced the igintion switch last july also replaced the light controlller on streering colum cause thought it had short in it cause noticed problem more at night with the lights on and for some reason lost lights on instrument cluster any help would be greatly apprecitated

Losing the presets on the radio and losing the clock would mean loss of power from the battery. If it was a faulty ignition switch, then the clock and radio should still have everything saved.

I would start with the simple stuff first. Disconnect the battery. Disconnect all ends of both battery cables. Clean all the eyelets, bolts, and mating surfaces with a wire brush or sand paper. Clean the battery posts as well.

Inspect the battery cable for signs of wear or corrosion.

After you try this, stop by an autoparts store and have them test the battery and alternator. While you are there, you might as well have them scan for codes.
