Default 97 Honda Accord EX 4cy. NOT STARTING, NO LIGHTS NO SOUNDS

I have a 97 accord EX 4cyl. Something a little over 220k miles on it. A few days ago it died on me. The day before, it wouldn't turn over and I needed a jump, but then it seemed to run fine. The next day my girlfriend took it to work and it again needed to be jumped when she was leaving work. She got it home and when I went out to try starting it, it wouldn't do ANYTHING. No dash lights, no clicks, no fuel pump, as if there were no battery in it. I tried having it jumped and it still did nothing, showed no sign of power whatsoever. The battery is only maybe 5 or 6 months old. I just replaced the battery cables today and cleaned all contacts, also replaced the 80 amp battery fuse, even though all those things looked fine. It still is sitting dead, jumping it does nothing. There was no corrosion, no blown fuses, but my electrical knowledge ends at the fuse box. Anyone have any ideas?

If you're sure cables and connections are good, suspect a bad battery despite it's age. It may not be getting a charge (bad alternator).

Suggest pulling battery and taking to autozone or where purchased for condition/voltage check. It may need to be recharged before testing. If undercharged, time to check alternator at same place.

good luck
