My right headlight will not turn on unless i open the hood and slam it down. This happens every time I need to turn the lights on. Sounds like a bad connection somewhere or possibly a short in the wiring.

Does anyone have an idea where I should start looking for a bad connection or any other ideas where I should look for the problem.

 

A few things I'd check. The ground. Then also inspect the connection and the wires to the bulb.

When you say "right"....this is the right/pass side headlight...corrct?

 

check the continuity in the bulb first before you start chasing wiring problems.
