98 Accord LX 4cyl. engine cuts out
Greetings! 98 Accord LX 4 Cyl, auto trans, engine starts to cut out at various speeds--most commonly at about 20-40 mph. I hold the gas pedal down at normal 30 mph speed for instance, and the engine just starts to die. If I pump the gas repeatedly while this is happening, it will kick in and go. Check engine light is on, dealership says it's a lean fuel indication and/or oxygen sensor--they suggested replacing the fuel pressure regulator which I've done to no avail. They also wanted to reroute the fuel lines? Not sure why.
I've replaced the fuel filter, spark plugs, wires, rotor and cap. Fuel injectors recently cleaned. Any chance it could be the computer?
Also had the same problem a couple years ago, the fuel pressure regulator was replaced and seemed to fix it, but doesn't help when I changed it out now. Fuel mileage has been about half of what I was getting for the previous 14 years. Any and all help greatly appreciated!
