98 Accord LX headlight help
Low light bulb on the passenger side does not work. Checked the fuse, replaced the bulb. Still nothing. Any ideas? Is there any possibility I have the wrong bulb? All sources call for 9006 12 V 55 W halogen, but that bulb is single prong and the original bulb is double prong. I got a 9005 on the recommendation of a sales rep. It fits, so I don't think it can be the bulb. No other problems with the electrical or other systems. I'm confused! Can it be wiring? If so, what should I check?

RE: 98 Accord LX headlight help
If you have volt meter, unplug the faulty headlight. Turn on the headlight. Use a volt meter touching a lead to each pin on the connector. You should have 12V.
If no voltage, then either the ground is bad or there is a problem with the power side. Probe one pin of the connector and ground the other probe on the engine block. One pin should read 12V (power side) and the other should show zero volts (ground side). If both are zero, then no power is getting there and you will need to identify the problem upstream (fuse or relay). If one pin has 12V, then the ground is bad on the connector.
