Hello people, I have a 98 2.3 honda accord, 5sp manual. it lost power while driving, and has gone into a limp mode. It fires up fine, idles perfectly, but when you try and rev it, it feels like it has a limiter. There is also a hum/whistle from a belt. I purchased a scanner, but it only showed p0135, which i know about as the cat has been shot for a while. there have to be more codes, im returning the scanner. any pointers? or anyone have something similar?

P0135 is open/short in the primary (bank 1, sensor 1) O2 sensor heater circuit.

Catalytic converter may be so badly damaged that engine breathing is impacted (blockage in converter).

Thank you chap. sorry I'm new to forums, didnt know I was in the wrong forum.
I have checked the exhaust, its clear. I'm waiting for a new scanner. It feels like there is a limiter with a loss of power. At idle you cant tell a thing. when revved, the humming noise returns, I'm stumped.
Any other ideas people??

How long since Timing Belt has been changed? Slippage in TB can cause performance problems. Suggest checking camshaft is at TDC when crankshaft is brought to TDC on timing pointer.

O2 sensor heater should not cause a rev-limit, but other related problems; poor o2 sensor performance or fuel injector problem.

Can you check long term fuel trim (LTFT) from ObD2 system w/ your scanner?
