At first it happened once every couple weeks then gradually more often, twice in one day and then I replaced the electrical portion of the switch. Located on the left side of the steering column, opposite the keyed portion.

Replace your main fuel relay. It is bolted to the steering column underneath the dash. Should be about $60. This is a known issue when it gets hot outside. Could also be an ignitor or coil.

One code on the diag., is the EGR valve should be replaced, but the mechanic didn't think this valve would cause the vehicle to stall. The car even stalled once in idle.

Thankfully every time this has happened, I was able to coast off the road.

Whatever I need to do to fix it, but I wanted your opinions first to see if there has been any other experiences with this issue. Thanks for the replys and advice
I had the same symptoms. My 98 Honda Accord started shutting down while driving. No codes were issued. I'd restart it immediately and it would run fine. I checked the engine air filter and it was very dirty. I replaced the air filter and the car has been running well with a lot of pep since.
