If your car is in emmaculate shape and have well under 100K miles (160,000KM), you might be able to sell it for 6K more likely 3-5K

I wouldn't jump the gun so quickly yet to say your transmission is toast. Many Honda transmissions are replaced when all that needed to be replaced was a shifter solenoid.

yeah.......right..........sure..........

Do you actually own a 6th gen accord? If not, then I would strongly suggest that you actually go read about the problems with the transmissions in these cars. I can speak from PERSONAL experience and tell you that once the car starts to jerk between shifts, it's game over. chaning a shift solenoid will not solve this guy's problem. The jerk is cuased by worn clutch packs that slip and then suddenly grab causing the harsh jerking. IF you have a solenoid that fails the car will not change gears or will be stuck in a certain gear.

6th gen accords (all of them) suffer from the following problems

failure of second gear due to insufficient lubrication
Differential bearing failure
main filter cloggs due to failure of main shaft or some other part and you loose second gear and then the others.

OP, your trans will be dead within about 1K miles since the jerk first started.

If you are wondering how I know all of this, I am on transmission #4 since I had my trans rebuilt at 89,97x miles and I am at 100,6XX miles

I have a 4 cylinder model, but have no transmission issues, so far. (1998 Accord 4dr LX). 110K on it. Sorry about your luck on your transmissions!

Only worth up to $6000?

YeuEmMaiMai, you're on your 4th tranny? Isn't the money you spent on it more than what your car's worth by now?
