Default A/C evaporator leak

I have a 2005 V-6 Honda Accord Coupe. The vehicle has been at the dealer now for three days with no end in sight. I have had water from the a/c leak into the DRIVER'S side of the vehicle - apparently from the duct work. Carpet pulled out...dashboard out...some part ordered that won't be here for a couple of days. I'm sure I could buy another car with what it's going to cost me when done. I am partly venting and partly asking how this could be such a drawn out job to diagnose and correct. My gut tells me that I am dealing with a low level of competence here and it should only be a clogged tube (easy to fix) or disconnected tube (which could be their fault when they replaced the condenser (front of vehicle) early in the year. Anyone been down this road?
