Hi there

I got 97 accord lx and the ac is not working so I took it to the shop. The mechanic filled the ac gas and also checked that there was no leak but when he try to run the ac no luck and he said that the compressor ac clutch is gone, so I got a buddy to change the compressor for me but same problem when I turn on the ac from the dash the ac compressor clutch doesn't move.

I went to a new mechanic today and he said that there has to be ac gas in the ac system to make the ac compressor clutch move and wok.

Any Idea how to get this fix.

After the compressor was changed, the system needs to be evacuated and charged with r134a. Did you do that?

Before you changed your compressor, you should have checked for voltage at the wire that goes to the a/c compressor for 12V. Also, did both fans come on when you turned on the a/c?
