My 98 Honda Accord is having major problems accelerating. I press the accelerator, it seems to be taking gas, but the RPMs DO NOT move, and then it jerks, the RPMS shoot-up, and the car takes off.

This is happening under all conditions, but I live in the Northwest, so we have a mild climate.

Previously this group thought it might be the TPS, I haven't had that checked.

This car has had two transmissions replaced, has 300K miles, and is able to get up to speed and run fine on the HWY.
