Default accelerator cable

i have a 94 accord that keeps melting accelerator cables there are no electrical wires anywhere around touching the cable or the pedal or anywhere i can see also the spring on the throttle body linkage gets hot and starts smoking i think that is melting the cable. i was told it was probly the t.p.s and the pigtail plug on the t.p.s, can someone shed some light on this for me i am a cancer patient and need my ride for chemo treatment please help...

I would suspect a bad ground is allowing electrical load to pass through the accelerator cable. Grounds to engine and body should be carefully checked for cleanliness and security.

good luck
