Question Accord 2003 Auto Tranny question

Hi there

Does 03 accord's have any transmission oil filter if yes is it easy or hard to
change it, also I was wondering if I should install a transmission cooler
cause I do a lot of driving specially in the summer but I checked with some
mechanics they r asking $350 to #400. I checked online that the
transmission oil cooler prices are around $50 and up is it that hard to install it.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP!!!

Well, where are you guys located??
Darkgreen, I know you're not in USA.

The tranny cooler should be built into the bottom of the radiator. There's 2 hoses from the transmission to the radiator (near the bottom tank).

I can't look up UK/Europe parts pictures, so I can only assume they're similar. Besides, 2003 is the beginning of a whole different generation of Accord so 2002 and 2003 are VERY DIFFERENT cars.

Here's a 2003 USA auto-trans. Filter is up top, #4, on the ATF hose.

Next picture is the radiator hoses. The little ones towards the bottom (#12, 13, 14) are the ATF-cooler hoses.

Actually, I don't know what Honda does in the Philippines. It might be the same as US, or it might be the smaller UK/Europe Accord.

Just saying that Honda sells different cars under the Accord name worldwide.

03 and newer that uses 5sp auto, it has an internal filter as any other Honda's auto, but there is an external inline spin-on filter in the detail picture JimBlake provided could be change.

Sorry, I actually don't know which is supply & return. I buy manual trans cars.

And yes, I should have said that there is also an internal filter that you can't change unless you dismantle the transmission.
