Accord 2008 radiator fan on and a/c switch not working
Hi All, am a newbie here.could anybody help:my 2008 accord([ACCORD | 2008 | 4DR LX+ or 4DR LX+ (PZEV) | KA 5AT or KL 5AT]) was over heating and sent to the workshop which was fixed but two day after, the radiator fan comes on as soon as you turn on the engine and the a/c button does not work,it does not cut off - the moment you turn on the a/c fan the a/c is on .on/off does not work

The radiator fan will run when the A/C is on.
The problem lies somewhere in the climate control circuit. Try pressing the different climate control mode buttons and turning the blower fan **** all the way off and back on to see if it will reset the A/C. If that doesn't work, disconnect the negative battery cable for a short while and reconnect to see if things reset. You will need to enter the radio code after the battery cable is disconnected.

I took the negative cable off but its still the same,I always realized after open the hood that as soon as you turn the engine on the a/c starts to freeze(with out even turn the a/c switch or a/c fan on from the dashboard). That should explain why I had to buy alot of gas.Any assistance please

Ok, I'm the slow one here so forgive me. I'm about to ask some strange questions.
Be sure the HVAC system is not on Auto.....even if it is, you should be able to press the "AC" button and see that the AC is off. Once you do this, are you still having the same issue?
Was this "workshop" a dealer or some other repair place?

Your LX doesn't have auto climate control.
It may be a short in the mode control motor circuit. The HVAC system has a self-diagnostic function which can possibly narrow down the area; but, there would still be other tests to perform to determine if it is the motor, a short in a wire, or the HVAC control unit.
You may want to purchase a service manual if you have the inclination to perform tests, etc. or have a shop look at it.

Not sure what/which manual you have....mine, the HVAC is in section 21.
I'm still wondering the the "shop" did to correct your overheating issue....this could be related.
Also, so we can try to help...which rad fan(s) come on? Drivers or pass side fan?
