Exclamation accord strange problem?

i have a friend who owns a mid 90's accord with a 4 cyl and automatic. recently he had a timing belt, cv axles, and transmission seal put in. he called me a little while ago and said that the car has a layer of oil on top of the water in the radiator and is blowing steam out of the tailpipe. its his wifes car and she claims that it did not run hot. the car has way over 300k miles on it. is it possible that the head gasket is still leaking even tho it did not run hot? what else should i look at on this car?

if im not mistaken its a 96

It sure sounds like a headgasket.

or your could have a cracked intake manifold, but that's very unlikely, and probably wouldn't account for the oil in the coolant, i vote head gasket too

I vote get a leakdown test so you don't have to guess.
