At the risk of getting shot (sorry again). Please double check the timing? I know it has nothing to do with the valve cover gasket change, they get old and things happen. You have spark?, you have gas?, you have air?....the only "other" thing that keeps the internal combustion engine from running is "those" things at the wrong time or wrong proportions.

If when you say the plugs have carbon they have a dull black coating then you have a rich mixture, and as I suggested and now deserthonda pull the plugs and crank it over to get the excess fuel out of the cylinders and I would install new plugs even if yours are new. With Fuel fouled plugs even if they clean up in my experience are done. Is there any chance something happened to the engine temp sensor for the computer? I believe on your Accord it is located below the distributor. I ask about that sensor as the only time I have seen a car go to full rich mixture was when that sensor was failed, but it wasn’t a Honda.

I believe poorman212 is referring to cam timing.

ANY solution to my problem would be nice. I mean, it can be something other than the valve cover I just thought that would be a good area to start.
The plugs are out now. I pulled them to let things dry out a little. I'll crank it a bit before I put them back in though.

It is possible that the engine temp sensor went bad, but is there a way to check it or do I just have to replace it?

Following up to the thread.

No there were no codes. I did all the suggestions.
Replaced the distributor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap, rotor, and coil.

It runs now. Not sure which of them it was.. but changing them all seemed to do it lol.
