Default Air conditioning issue

Hi all—frustrated with a 2005 Accord. AC was blowing warm and mechanical purged and recharged when he found the shreyder valve faulty. Changed the valve, charged it up and it blew cold. Great! Ran it for around 8 miles, worked fine, parked it and couple hours later get in and AC blowing warm again. Any ideas? This is a 4 cylinder sedan if it matters, doubt it does. Appreciate the advice.

The most likely answer is that you still have a leak. Hopefully the mechanic put in some dye when the system was recharged to help locate the leak.

He did inject dye and it’s tight (other than the valve failure). Now it’s working again....i don’t get it. Compressor cycles on and off as normal and it’s nice and cold.

There is a HVAC self-diagnosis procedure. See the common DIY thread link on the top of the gen tech help forum.

You'll have to verify if the compressor clutch is spinning when your a/c stops working.
