Default Best/Easy way to increase giddyup 2.4L

I bought a 2008 accord 4 cylinder sedan for my daughter. She gripes that it has a hard time going up hills. Is there a simple chip (I'm not a noob but not too mechanically inclined) to increase torque/hp without hurting the engine?

The chips are just a gimmick and not worth the money.

The 2008 Accord 4cyls aren't really any slower than any other family car.

Intakes and exhaust will give you a bit of gain, but they will also make the car louder.

Any real horsepower increase is going to cost a fair chunk of change and probably take a tax on the cars reliability.

If she really wanted to she could look at trading it in for one of the 6cyl Accords from the same year as those had some serious get up and go.

Ok. thanks. I have a bmw 335i and there are a lot of chips/dinan/bmw power kits to add torque and hp. I just did the Bmw ppk, so i wondered if there were similar solutions to the Honda. Sounds like she will have to get used to driving a slow, reliable car! I drove it and thought it was fine.

I have read where people used a TSX intake manifold on the accord engine. I don't know how much it will change the performance. I would search the web a bit to read about the details and opinions on this upgrade.

Thanks! I'll look into it.

I have a '96v6. I was looking into headers, but they all appear to be for
97-02. Now , i understand that the intake was changed in 97. So, does this infer that 97 headers are so labeled for that reason, and would they fit a 96v6? Also, can't seem to find any cold air intake or filters. (I anticipate improving performance by opening up breathing, both in and out.)
