Blower issue or control issue?
Sorry for the hiatus, but I now have a starting point to finding out what part(s) need to be replaced to resolve my issue(s). Of course, it took the complete failure of the fan speed controller to get things started - all that happens now is the fan speed controller gets hot(can feel the **** getting warm and the air duct right above it you can feel the heat - with the car engine cold) so now I have absolutely no blower -it won't even kick in anymore. I have a Chilton manual which covers Honda Accord/Prelude 1984-95 years - it says I have to drop the steering column just to remove the center trim so I can access the contollers to replace. The trim wraps around the speedometer, radio, ashtray and the climate controls - is this necessary? The book just says remove the trim carefully - it's plastic, don't break it. Is this trim just a snap in or are there screws holding it in place? The book doesn't go into any more detail.
My 95 was a different generation than yours, but I remember the two wire electrical connector was fairly simple to access for the blower motor power/ground supply.
In the common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum, there is a link to online shop manuals. I think one of the links gets you to where you can download a 90-93 shop manual (automanualspace link, IIRC). That manual is a pdf and may have the pictures and instructions in there.
