Default brake lamp indicator won't go off

Hi

I have a 1998 Honda Accord with 150K mileage. Recently the brake lamp indicator in the dashboard went on. I replaced the blown out high mount brake light with the same part number and rating. But after 3/4 drives the indicator isn't still going off. What should I do next?

Thanks in advance.

Check all the other lamps back there. That warning is triggered by uneven watteage from one side to the other. It may be that one side brake-light bulb is getting old or corroded or ??? Occasionally people have to put all new bulbs in just so they all match each other properly.

Hi Jim

Thanks for your prompt help. Yes I checked through the other lights and found one of them to be blown. So I replaced it, and the indicator immediately went off. Thank you very much.
